A native to Newton, My family moved from this area when I was a child.  I've lived most of my life in Iowa, coming back to Bethel College for my first year of college in the mid 70's.  I then returned to Iowa, where I eventually started my own family, which yielded two great sons, both of whom now have a sons of their own.  I followed my parents, Omar and Carolynn's lead in moving back to Newton 8+ years ago. 

Amongst the highlights of these past 8 years has, at the top, been meeting the woman who is now my wife, Debbie.  She left the comfort and familiarity of her home in Wichita to start our lives together in North Newton just over two years ago.  Our extended family looks much like the "Brady Bunch", with six children between us, three girls and three boys, and yes, "the youngest one in curls!"  We have four grandchildren, and a fifth who will be joining the family in time for the Holidays.

My real estate experience is extensive, mostly as an investor.  My wife and I own and manage Alternative Investment Properties, with important assistance from my oldest son, Ken.  I formerly held a real estate license in the state of Iowa, and I marked a major goal off of my "to do" list when I completed the pre-license course work and test this summer to get my Kansas real estate license.  I just recently completed the required membership orientation class of the Local and National Association of Realtos.

I am honored to be able to join the Realty Connections team here in Newton.  I feel there is a benefit, from the perspective of the customer, to working with a smaller, locally owned and operated real estate office.
